Interior style

The clients have slightly different tastes in interior design: the husband prefers a more minimalist or even high-tech style, while the wife leans towards a more classic approach and is very fond of antique pieces. The design therefore balances both directions.

Living and dining area

The dining area is integrated with the living room, but the space is still clearly divided into zones. The seating area is set slightly lower than the main floor level, and the lighting is grouped — both of these solutions help to zone the space.
To bring more daylight into the dining area, an additional window was added. From the living room there is also access to the terrace through a large sliding window.

Entrance hall

Because the plot has a noticeable slope, the house has two main entrances on different levels, but the primary one is on the middle floor. The entrance hall was originally quite narrow, but we were able to make it more spacious by widening and relocating the opening into the adjacent room.

Bathrooms

The house has three bathrooms: one with a bathtub and two with showers. The bathrooms were designed in slightly different styles, since different family members will be using them.

Master bedroom

The master bedroom is located on the second floor. Calm tones, light textiles and natural textures were used here to create a tranquil atmosphere.

Home offices

When it comes to mixing styles within one house, it’s very easy to see whose study you are looking at. The husband is a music enthusiast, so his study accommodates both a drum kit and an electronic piano.

Children’s room

The second floor of the house also accommodates a children’s bedroom and a playroom.

Basement level

On the lower level there are several functional areas: a laundry/utility room, a garage with a small workshop area, a gym, a storage room and the boiler room. During the renovation, all engineering systems in the house were replaced.
